By now you may have heard of Tidying up with Marie Kondo, a Netlfix show about decluttering. Yes, I'm a fan and an enthusiast. I have always been amazed by the Japanese way of living, like minimalism and all. Now let me inspire you and tell you a summary about the KonMari method, the decluttering way that sparks joy.

Find a purpose first why you need to declutter. Are you experiencing a life changing experience? Grief? Got your heart broken? or just that. YOU NEED THAT PURPOSE. Because decluttering is no easy job, you've got to have commitment.
Ready your commitment and imagination.
“The goal of the KonMari Method is to have a house full of items that spark joy.”
Every goal comes with the demand of commitment. When you have that commitment, you will be able to easily do decluttering, use your imagination for your ideal lifestyle and discard items with ease. With KonMari Method, building your MINIMALIST kind of life has never been easier.
This helped me achieve a clear and focused mind. I can see my goals aligned and decluttering has made me commit into something I am passionate about.
Start Discarding.
Well, this is the difficult part. You’ll be needing loads of courage, so be sure to keep your purpose for your decluttering, in mind. There are categories for the items to keep and items to discard. But the ultimate rule is: Discard items that lack value. Simple.
My husband and I, thankfully, are experiencing a new lifestyle. Thanks to decluttering. Right now, we only have items that we truly need and never buy things that we know will not be used in the long run.
Follow the right order. Ask yourself if it sparks joy.
“Be original, you can follow your style, and tell your story about minimalism but make sure to follow the right order.”
When you have all the categories on pile, you should have a much smaller set of remaining items that you can return to various closets, drawers, shelves, and boxes. Note that you're to finish one category before moving onto the next one.
Because you're actively choosing items that spark joy, and discarding what doesn't, the intention of the KonMari method is to end up with a clutter-free home that is better able to bring more joy and prosperity to your life.
