This might be a cliché already, but stories about winners and successful businessmen who wakes up at 5am or earlier, are surely catching our attention. We want to mimic them and be like them because we millennials crave for success. Other than this very reason, here are 5 (five) amazing reasons, so you have to ditch that snooze button and listen to that alarm.

Waking up early at 5am for thirty days straight was already an achievement for a night owl millennial like me. It was hard to begin with. But for me, it was worth it.

1. It's a first step towards claiming your life back.

“Do you have this constant feeling of hopelessness and fatigue when waking up? Having to rush around and playing catch up, drains your energy.”

An early morning routine surely sets the tone for your entire day. It gives you a sense of purpose and a positive attitude to start being productive. It will give you ample time to prepare and eat breakfast which is helpful for your cognitive functions. This will prevent you from feeling that draining fatigue and hopelessness, instead, it will give you an energy to focus on a difficult task which will leave you feeling accomplished.

2. You'll get a good night's sleep.

Research has repeatedly found that those who get up early set themselves up for better quality sleep when they hit the sack that night.

Other research has shown night owls are more likely to develop sleep disorders and tend to sleep less overall than the early birds.

3. A key to a work-life balance.

Being early at work shows off your dedication and passion to work. When you go to work early you will have a reason to get off from work early too. Make that a habit.”

Whether you are a single individual or you have a family to take care of, a me-time is must nowadays. I tell you, this level of self care can only be achieved when your start your work early so that you will have a lot of time for your self.

4. Get your inspiration from the successful early-risers.

To keep up with LIFE's challenges, it is better to have a mentor or an inspiration to look up to in order to keep going and doing what you think is a difficult task.

Be it Bill Gates or Oprah, it doesn't matter. You know what matters is you get your reason to actually wake up and make that a habit.

5. Get ahead from others in a positive way.

When you are up early at the crack of dawn working on your hustle, exercising, or planning your day, you feel like you have a head start on the rest of the world.

Once the normal time people wake up rolls around, you feel like you’re on pace to get much more done than the average person. It feels so good there's no turning back.

Start creating your own early morning routine now. Good luck!
